I'm building up a 2.3/2.4l stroker engine and after the install of the crank and bearings there was a problem when the arp studs where put on. You couldn't turn the crank really. Has anyone had this problem? I was confused of why these studs would cause this. Now my block is at the machine shop getting aligned. If anyone could help me out that would be appreciated...

Thanks

Did the crank turn with the stock main bolts? Some people say you need to line hone the mains when using arp studs. Personally I can't see them tighten the mains enough to clamp the crank down, but I guess it's possible. From what I've seen, line hone jobs don't really make the mains straight or round anyway. Let us know what the machine shop says.
