The other day I opened my hood and the alarm went off, but trying to replicate the alarm today, I couldnt.. How did I arm it exactly? I dont have a key thob or anything.

Tried setting off the alarm by locking doors with the windows down and opening door from the inside and no alarm (that method works on my 05 tiburon)

Also tried opening the hood like last time and nothing (doors locked aswell)

there is a button that sets off the alarm when you open the hood. its down by drivers side head light. its prob toast and just decided to randomly work for you. my passenger side door switch is like that, most times interior lights don't work. some times they do

I figured out the sestem and everything works, but the other day it went off randomly again.. Not too worried about that.. And did the 99 gsx have a key fob? I researched it and there are mixed answers

I dont have a fob for mine but it arms when I lock it with a key from outside.

I also have an aftermarket alarm. But when I arm that and the doors lock, the factory alarm does not.
