When water gets on it it just slipps so it will squeal. My cutlass does this as well.

David, take both belts off and spin everything to ensure it may not be just a bearing in a pulley

The reason I say HB is cause the power steering pump, alternator and water pump are all brand new...it only does it under load, and to get it to stop I have to turn the heater, amp and headlights off or it won't quit. All lights dim bad, and my belts are both the right tension. My alternator belt is wearing badly really fast too. All I can think of is you're supposed to tighten the HB bolts in a certain pattern and I didn't know that. Didn't have this problem the first time I did a timing job though....idk, this car is a headache. Lol

Belt dressing normally took care of my squealing.. For a while at least.

So, Chad, when are you going to line up with the white c7 at the strip? Lmao! I bet you could hang for a bit.

Well let's hope they're open LOL. If so I'll be there. I'm ready to see how fast that car is. :thumb:

Haha I'll tell him next time I see him to do it. I don't have his number anymore or I would just text him. The only thing done to it is a few extras from the factory. Nothing major.. Still a kickass car though!

Also, Hillala, where are you located? This app doesn't have a location LOL. What color is the eg6? There's a red one around Batesville that looks and sounds mean.. I think it may be turbo'd also...

I'm up in NWA Lowell, It's a green-ish color. I really love the torgue the b20 gives on bottom end and the turbo up top. You can't rev it to 9k like most honda b series but 6k is more then enough to walk just about anything in my area. Not to mention I'm getting 40mpg.

I laughed the other day, someone pulled up next to me in a black focus SVT in Fayetteville, never thought those things sound so high pitch and annoying, made the EG sound like a damn Subaru. So happy mine doesn't sound like every honduh out there.

When or if this honda engine goes, I'm putting a 4g63 in the EG6. Only has 75k original miles and it's stupid clean so why not. haha

Looks good! That has always been my favorite model Honda. Swapping a 4g63 is always a good idea. I use to have an svt focus.. I thought I was hot shit! Lol.. I have am exhaust video somewhere.

It was pretty high pitched and pissed off bumble bee sounding.. Then I was introduced to the world of DSM!

HAHA! pissed off bumble bee is right. I always thought the SVT would be faster then it was though, poor bastard didn't stand a chance.

Honestly the EG6 was the only good looking Honda IMO. The question is if I should try to go for an AWD swap on it when I get around to putting in the 4g63, it's been done to a EK9. I wonder how that'll effect the PWR and or how it handles

Not bad looking at all.
haha, thanks, i'm going anti-rice, the best I can anyway

Hey you HAVE to add the park bench wing.. Maybe a few JDM stickers too. You know, extra horsepower and stuff.

An awd, 4g63 swapped Honda would probably be one of the funnest cars to drive ever.. Just for the fact that the typical Honda-Haters wouldn't stand a chance! Hahaha! I say go for it.

I have the six bolt already, Think i'll start building it up little at a time, already taken all apart anyway, so why not. It'll be a stupid slow build but I'll start up a thread here in a few days or so when I get the engine out on a stand.

As for stickers and such for the extra horsepower, there are a few on the back from the PO... added like 30hp there, It has a camber kit, coilovers and other things too, everyone knows that's 100hp easy. OH YEAH! falken tires, might as well say they're slicks, close enough i mean the name's painted white like some MT's, hahahahaha.

All jokes aside, it's not a bad car and the MPG is great but DEAR GOD, From the years of distaste towards a Honda because everyone turns them into crap. . . I feel it's my mission in life to 4g63 power this bi*** one day.

Nice! That will be a cool build thread.

So.. A meet. Would a Saturday be good for everyone? Meet up around noon or so, and hang out for a while?

Unfortunately the SVT focus didn't really come come with any extra horses. I think suspension and a 6 speed. I really liked the body style, but I feel as if I'm about to be thrown out of the front of the windshield when I drive one. Again, most I have seen are stock or insanely riced.

But of course your all slow anyways :D ;)

A Saturday sounds good but sometime in the afternoon would be best, it's a few hour drive for me.. That is if I can make it, Once we have a set date i'll be able to say yes or no.

that black SVT had more rice then a typical honda, kinda sad ford would do that here in the states. The RS in europe was and from what I know (I think they're still in production over there) still is a badass car.

Yeah, you're right, we're all slow.... until YOU hit that limiter, hahahaha.

Id like to talk to you about the 2g chassis sir! Im having to use an old phone right now so I dont have your number.

On another note a question does dsmlink come with a stock tune or will I have to set it up first to run? I just need to get it in the garage so I can work on the cold side.

ECMlink does start stock, unless you bought a chip pre used and someone has their tune on it. You can still revert back to stock even so.

I have been fighting one very important issue sense I got the gsx. Cold starts! I have to keep my foot on the gas above 1500 rpm or it will die. I have to do this until the car gets around 150 degrees. Then when I let off it won't die, but will run really lean then rich. I have replaced almost everything that has to do with idle but the TPS and that checks out. I replaced the throttle body and new sensors (pretty penny) front o2, new gaskets. I have tried to tune it out but it acts the exact same way while in open loop (no feedback from o2). I'm going to try to swap another ecu in and see if it's the culprit.

Yep, and that's only a smidgen over a 1/4 :)

Once I get outa school. It's so on, haha
