Are these counterfeit brake pads?

I recently got a really good deal on a Power Stop K684-26 rear brake pad & rotor kit, that comes with their "performance" rated Z26 pads. Normally they sell for around $155 on Amazon, but they were on sale for $60 so I snagged them. They arrived a few days later, and from the start something just didn't seem right about them (as if the nearly $100 discounted price wasn't a giveaway).

First, with the included drilled & slotted rotors, the whole kit just seems a bit too light. Then, upon opening the box containing the pads, I saw that several were chipped around the edges. The date was kind of old, March 2018, so they'd been sitting around a while making me wonder why they hadn't sold or been installed by now.

And when I opened the box with the pads, there was no flip-out part explaining the bedding procedure, as there was with a Power Stop kit I got for the front brakes.

But the thing that really caught my attention was the outside of the box, where instead of saying "Thermal Scorched" as it does on the box that came with the front pads, it said "Themal Scorched", the sort of obvious typo often associated with counterfeit products. The lettering on the shims also seems too faded.

Has anyone who's ever bought a Power Stop pad & rotor kit ever seen any of this, especially the typo, and does it sound like these might be fakes? I haven't installed them yet. The rotors seem ok though.

Here are some photos of the box & pads:

Update:

I just spoke to Power Stop and they said that while these appear to be genuine and the typo may be because they're made in China, they're sending me a new set of pads just in case, especially since some of them are slightly chipped.

They said that I can keep or throw out the pads I have. I'll obviously hold onto them, at least until I get the new set to compare them, and then decide what to do with them.

Impressive service, even if their spelling isn't perfect!

They're sending me new pads, presumably genuine ones since they're the maker. The rotors seems ok, but if the pads are fake, I have to wonder. I did a quick runout check with a straight metal ruler and they seem ok, but that doesn't mean that they're real and more importantly good quality.

I compared them to the legit-looking front rotors I ordered separately and they seem to be made of comparable alloy, although they're lighter (which I assume is normal when comparing rears to fronts). The drilled cooling holes are also a bit wider than on the fronts, and the chamfer on the inside rim is steeper.
