Are idle speed motors interchangeable between diff year dsms..? i purchased a used idle speed control motor from ebay from a 91 gsx for my 90 gsx....will this idle speed control motor fit or are they different for different years...?

thanks...

I will have to look but I think you can use one from a 91-99 on any turbo DSM. The 90's has a different TB, and it should work, but may need a bit of a beat to fit paint to match type of install. I can tell you for sure when i get home.

I am about to try to install one from my friends 3000GT VR4 to my car.. LOL.. i doubt it will work but its worth a shot :thumb:

pretty sure they are interchangeable physically but some have 3 wires and some have 4 - i think you need the same one unless there is a rewire technique.
3-4 wires? ya sure ya dont mean the TPS ?

anywho -- 90 ISC has a harness comming out of it.. 91-94 uses a plug.

For 91-99 cars...They will interchange.......Just look at the plug! The ones from the 3000Gt/stealth have worked. I've pulled them myself(cleaned out the junkyard of them). If you compare the 2 they should look the same with the same plug. If they have the same plug, you have the ones that will interchange.

With the ones that work, there are two slight differences you may see. The first is on the metal casings. Some will be smooth but others have slight ridges on them. The ridges make no difference in anything. They still have the same bolt patters. The other is on the plastic black plunger. Again some are perfectly round while others that I've seen have 4(I believe) ridges. None of these differences matter. It will still work.

Before you pull them, it's easy to check them with multimeter.

*****Edit****

Not sure for your 90 though
Also, a lot of the mitsu based engine ISC's will interchange. The DOHC Galants work to
