Are afpr supposed to leak boost?

I just got a new aeromotive fpr and did a boost leak test and the adjustable screws leaks boost at the top of the regulator. Is that normal?

Yes it is very common with any adjustable AFPR

How to fix it.
1. Back out the screw a few turns
2. Wrap the screw with Teflon Thread Screw Tape. Wrap that screw at the section closest to the AFPR housing. Wrap around it several times. You can buy this at any hardward store and most auto parts stores.
3. Adjust your fuel pressure back with the screw. Yes, the Teflon tape will screw right into the housing while you're adjusting it. This will help seal it.
4. Tighten the lock nut back down over the tape and snug it up on the housing. This will also help to seal it.
