anyone with nitrous installed on 1g awd ,please give me your reviews. I'm looking to install a 60 shot wet on my car. I need your reviews and opinions. Thanks

I have a friend that did this on an otherwise stock 1g awd. He got serious power increases but he was running to lean and broke things. Make sure to do a small fuel upgrade and you should not have a problem.

Also try and run with at least 1/2 to over a 1/4 tank of gas. When spraying ontop of a turbo you make serious power and some 1G cars with stock springs I have seen dip back so hard that it runs the pump partially dry cauing fuel pressure to drop. I watched one guy I know launch pistons because of this on an otherwise healthy 1G, he was running a 50trim too on racegas.

a freind of mine just put a wet kit 50 shot and it runs fine dont need to touch fuel or anything. :)

I just put a 75shot on the wifes car. It has a 190 walbaro fuel pump. It's running really well :thumb:

How much nitrous can you run ontop of a 14b putting out about 12psi with 93 octane and a walbro 255lph fuel pump?

I just purchased a 91 laser and I thought about doing this instead of grabbing a new turbo right away.

Ok...enough teasing. I'm gonna invest in a Nitrous kit. Gonna start small with like 50 shot and work my way up. I just upgraded my exhaust from 2.5" buschur turboback to 3" thermal catback w/2.5" downpipe, i threw my 02 dump in the trash and installed an external wastegate and from rc 550cc's to FIC 650cc's. Getting it ready for tdo5 or tdo6 20g and wet shot. What safety mods would you recommend to aid the nitrous?

Knowledge and starting out small are your best safty precautions. Start with the lowest shot you can on a turbo car and move up. I would recommend you watch your air/fuel ratio with a wideband O2 at least to make sure that your running a safe AFR. Nitrous cars like to be 11.5:1 where turbo is leaner at 12.0:1 or sometimes higher (12.3:1 etc) so know when you spray it's gonna be richer no matter what.

A good fuel pump and running with a descent amount of gas in the tank is a good idea. Our fuel pumps like to go dry when we launch hard as all the gas rushes to the back of the tank. No racing with less than a 1/4 tank of gas, your just asking for it.

Watch your plugs as we all know how big boost loves to eat up plugs, well it's worse with turbo and nitrous or any nitrous application. Many times the plugs look fine, but are causing a misfire. If you have a misfire, first thing you do is change to a brand new set of plugs. 99% of the time on a nitrous car, thats your problem.
