Anyone using a EBAY fpr??

Just wanted to see if any of you guys are running an ebay knockoff FRP or not. If so, hows it working? good or bad. Wanted to see if it was one of the few things that work good for half the price. Let me know guys, thanks!

Just get the megan racing afpr instead. its about the same price as the ebay knock off. Oh, if you saw the Megan sell out thread, their $55 shipped.

Im still waiting for mine to come in, so not sure how it functions yet.

I presonally would spend the extra few bucks to get a decent regulator after all if the regulator fails it could mean your engine...

I agree 100% A quality FPR is not very expensive and some bolts ons are even barely 120-150. When you talk about piece of mind vs. Saving a few bucks........ it's a no brainer in my opinion.

I was using an Ebay one for over a year with a rewired 255 high pressure fuel pump. The FPR worked like any other FPR.

with any part you will always find someone who liked/disliked it. but i'd rather spend the money on something i dont have to ask if its reliable i like to know for sure that im getting what i pay for thats why i hate ebay stuff dont trust it at all.

the megan stuff is ebay stuff priced more, because you have a brand name involved, and so called customer service.

last i checked they were not the same price, and the ones without the megan name were a bit cheaper.

i dont have experience with the ebay/megan FPRs, but curious as well. i hear people who have them say they work fine, but dont go into too much detail on it along with the rest of their setup, this is what i'm waiting on for me to make the jump.

I got mine earlier today, got it installed and the damn rubber hose that came with it are crap. The inside of the hose spit/cracked. So now ill be getting some SS fuel lines before i reinstall it. Less than 1 min. of start up, it sprayed gas everywhere.

If you get ebay AFPR, dont use the fuel lines that come with it.

Ill take a picture later to show how crappy they are.

the rubber hose they include are those crap ones not meant for fuel? the fuel line hoses I believe are reinforced.

so far, all i need is an ss braided fuel lines. I wont be putting it directly to the fuel rail. Ill be mounting the afpr on the firewall away from the coil pack.

They are ment for fuel, but i guess there not able to support the pressure its pushing. The inner part of the hose might of exploded while I was putting fuel inside the rail/fpr by connecting a wire on the fuel pump female connector to the positive of the battery.

Every confident as long as theres JBweld or RTV. Ill do what ever to make it work.

Please keep us posted. I'm looking into an ebay fpr too but want to make sure 100% they work. While my motor is getting rebuilt im putting together parts to prime it for a T28.

I'm sorry but how "ghetto" is that... using JB Weld to get an fpr to work...

These are the types of things that cause engine fires...

Again to save yourself some bucks and have to worry about it... I think your absolutly nuts for the risk your foing to take...

I know we're working on a budget FPR kit since alot of dsmer's tend to be rather cheap... But even our kits will come with a name brand reg. and push lok hose and decent fittings that wont leak...

oh damn, is that going to connect to the end of the fuel rail where you remove the stock oem regulator? so its a universal fitting thus the slotted flange. i guess if thats the case it "should" work. just watch out for the leaks, and you already mentioned getting better fuel hoses.

a hardware store will have the fuel lines for it. Those were not fuel lines. Fuel lines are like single ply type piping. That stuff was very thin. Why would they give you that? Hardware store would be cheap and effective and you can get some clamps to ensure effectivness.

What a piece of crap that kit is. If you guys wanna buy a knockoff alternative to the Aeromotive you can give this one a try. It's a whole $100 less and judging by his feedbacks they seem work.
