I am trying to figure out how to remove the speedometer drive gear inside of my transmission. I have a 99 eclipse gs n/t manual. The gear keeps shifting and causing me to loose my speedometer and odometer. Please anyone.

I have never opened the gearbox you have, but my awd gearbox need to be opened to change the drive gear. Normally it is the plastic gear that breaks and is easy removed without opening the gearbox.
