anyone near chambersburg have a valve spring compressior

basically i need to browow to put my valves in my head.im broke and cant really afford 70 bucks for the one i know works.i tried the one you rent from autozone and it was to big, so if anyone close wouldnt mind meeting up to let me use theirs that would be great.thanks

If you can't find one, Just use a LARGE C-clamp, And ''notch'' out a socket with a grinder so that when you put the socket on top of the retainer, You have a ''port/opening'', That you can get the keepers out from.

Or go to Sears and buy one for 25 bucks and weld a socket/pipe that is notched out to the top.Works like a charm.
