Well, the vendor I purchased the fans from told me they bolt right on. Theres mounting points all over the radiator, and fans have ones you can move, but I can't seem to get more than one mounting point to line up. Sooo im either going to have to make some brackets or maybe im not looking at something right?

Has anyone installed these fans on a Koyo radiator?

I did a quick search and checked VFAQ, but I didn't find much more than a few people asking where to buy them.

Also can I run both fans off the harness that powered the main cooling fan? If not since I removed all of the A/C crap I figure I can use the A/C switch like a toggle switch for the 2nd fan.

I dunno about the fan placement, but i know when i removed my AC i havn't had to use the fan at all. Granted, i don't have a fmic, but i have a very old radiator with a big trans cooler in front of it. But i would use it the same way, with the ac switch as a toggle.

I have a fluidyne with 12" Mr Gasket fans, they flow more air and are $65 bucks each. You just need to splice your OEM connector on thier.

here is how i did mine man. i dont know what the zip tie things are called but you just push them through the radiator the put the plastic piece over it untill tight then snip the end off. you can kinda see them where i mounted my puller fan. hope this helps:thumb:

edit: never mind they wont let me load the pics again. here is the link to where i posted them....http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=224201&page=5

yea I have a few of thoughs and I can get more, but I wanted to bolt them on somehow so I dont have to do that each time, plus I didn't really want to put thoughs things though a nearly $350 radiator...

I may end up doing it anyway though.

Edit- Actualy, that pic may have been helpful.

its really not that bad man. and thoes zip tie things are cheap as hell i have actually took off the screws up a the top and put them in instead for a cleaner look...

Those "zip tie things", while easy aren't the best choice, the torque of the fans can eventually cause damage to the core. Best method is to fab up some metal brackets that will extend from the fan mounts to the factory mounting locations on the rad.

Well I ended up getting the top two brackets to work, so I bolted thoughs on and used one of the zip tie things on the bottom.

Only thing is the other fan doesn't fit to well. So the only one thats on there is the AC fan which corse is working only when I press the AC butten since the AC is removed.

I'm gona have to mount the other as a pusher on the front.

I have a 2g w/ a koyo radiator and 2 12" fans, both as pullers and didn't have any problems.
Btw- do the fins on your koyo bend as easliy as mine. I just look at it funny and the fins get bent.
