Hey, I just got my body kit in yesterday, and I'm stoaked. I bought a dremel for prepping and such, but I am having some problems already.
The kit is made of duraflex, which is pretty cool, because it doesn't crack as easily as fiberglass alone. The thing is, if I add regular fiberglass to it, will it crack?
The back bumper is about an inch and a half too long! I dry fit it onto the rear, and everything fits perfect except where it would go onto the wheel well there is about an inch and a half extra on both sides. Would this be easy to just grind off and reglass an edge, or should I grind off and just rivet it on from the front and put some bondo-glass over it?
On the front, there is a little deal that looks like a "T" shape. Would it be easy to fiberglass over that to make it smooth?
I have had a year's experience with bondo and body work in a college class, but no ground effects. Should I just wait until next semester and ask my teachers?
