x2 on the bushings, and while your looking check the shifter cables take them off the tranny and see if there loose. Loose cables will cause miss shifts and hard engagement.
?On the tranny, you have the two cables: one is the SELECT and the other is the SHIFT and there are bushings on the end of the cables that goes over the respective pins, and these wear out.
You grab the end of the cables and move the cable connections back and forth by hand to check for slop on where the ends are over the connection pins.
A lot of DSM owners take those worn bushings out and put in skateboard bearings to really maximize their shifting techniques.
