Anybody know how to install a 2gT speed sensor??

I tried installing mine and I can't get it to mate flesh with the tranny. The rod and white little gear came out of the tranny with the old sensor and I just wanna make sure I know how to install it properly. As everything stands, the new sensor is in but my speedo is not working .

If anybody can offer some help it'd be greatly appreciated

No it did not, I pulled the gear and rod from the old sensor. I think the rod isn't installed right in the sensor - I had a hard time getting it in there. I have a check engine light on for it also.

Its possible it didnt seat right, maby has come off? I would take it off and inspect, maby they gave you the wrong sensor? Maby its not the sensor....?

put it in gear and rotate the wheels when you install it. it SHOULD drop right in without that but I had to fiddle with mine too.

It drops in flesh wit the tranny now. I think the sensor is just garbage (sucks because I paid 75 dollars for it) I think I might have broken it when I installed the gear on it, or I installed the gear wrong

I guess I need to find one with the little white gear already installed on it.
