I have a 92 awd that I've been having issues with.
I got a used tranny from a guy on here, and he said it shifted great, no problems.
I put it in, I added the skateboard bearings on the tranny linkage, and BG syncroshift 2.
It grinds into 2nd, not always. If I shift from 1st to neutral, then wait a bit then shift to 2nd, it goes it fine. My dad drove it the other day and it didn't grind going into 2nd, thats the weird part.
If I downshift from 3rd, most of the time its fine.
Today, I added Symborski shifter base bushings and the problem is still there.
Every other gear seems to be fine. Sometimes, it grinds when I downshift from 2nd to 1st, and sometimes from 2nd to 3rd it grinds.
I've adjusted the cables, but I don't notice a difference, I think I made it worse. I've adjusted the clutch pedal and that is working fine.
Maybe someone in the bay area with a 1g can help me out? I'll drive out there and take you out to lunch.
