Any one using kyb gr2 shocks with megan springs?

Ive never ran KYBs with megan springs....or megan springs at all for that matter. But I do have KYB's with Eibach Sportlines on my spyder. The GR2's ride and perform flawlessly. It really is a great shock, and is a huge improvement over stock. I say go for it.

And don't let anyone tell you that you cant run GR2's with lowering springs (because people on here will tell you that), they're a dummy.

:hmm: The sportlines lower your car ~1.25", right? The megan is a 2.0" drop. I ran the megan springs a few years ago on my laser with KYB AGX. They lasted a little under 6 months before they blew out. I think the rates on the megan springs may be a little softer than others, and they are more of a drop than the eibach kits. From what I've read over the years here any more than a 1.5" drop and people end up blowing out the gr2s and agxs. I have whiteline lowering springs on the galant that aren't as extreme of a drop with the Gr2s and they are fine. This "dummy" speaks from experience with the megan and KYB setup and say's you'll end up replacing them down the road.

GR2's are pretty much a stock shock. Anything lower than 1" drop will kill them. May blow them out in a day or 2 years. My brother had two year old gr2's and installed some Tiens. They blew out and are completely shot. I wouldnt run anything lower than the eiback prokit with gr2's. You can go with some other shocks like Illuminas or Konis but they get costly.

Ive got ATLEAST 2 inches of drop on my spyder. And I have been running my GR2's with that drop for about 3 years now. Still perform flawlessly.

LOL, I dont know what you guys are doing.
