I never give the hit. I'd rather give more spots. The Talon is a friend of mine that you've never met. He likes to remain on the D.L. too so noone really knows him.

I feel the same way....Altho, I never have a problem with GETTING the bust.....Won some good races tlike that....Ha, giving an AWD car the hit....

Wanna know a guaranteed way to win races? Give them as many lengths as they want, but ask for the Hit from Behind...In an awd car, thats pretty good for grabbing 4+ lengths without them even reacting or moving too far...

Bolt-on 50 trims are old school. Spoolup on a 1g will be pretty slow compared to that 16g due to your 7.8/1 compression. My suggestion is a Garrett GT30R. It's a 56 trim ball bearing and will outlast a thrust bearing turbo (usually). Mine spools to 27psi at 3800rpm. You should know this, your brother has one. The non bolt-on style tend to make a little more power due to better flow through the turbine.

As far as taking the hit, some guy that works at the Chrysler dealership brought out a new 300C SRT-8 and I was going to give him 10 cars for $500 but he backed off when he watched everyone that was there start putting money on my car. I was going to steal the hit on him nasty.

well yeah, I want a gt30r or something similar just so I can give you some lengths, hahaha!

Ha....Honda racing is getting old....

I spotted a motor swapped Hatch 6 cars yesterday....I would post the vid but I would be banned Im sure.....

Ha, I laugh so hard when people spend so long warming up crappy street tires....Anyway, the Honda misses 2nd but my stock clutch gave out on the launch anyway so I didnt have an amazing launch....

In the end, I think I still ended up winning by like 10-12 cars everyone said....Wasnt even a rape, it was a massacre....They handed over the $$$, and wanted to go again for fun but my clutch is DEAD now so we just ran from a roll....This guy was sooo sure he would've won.....I took him from a roll as well....And its fwd and weighs over 1k less than mine!!!

Jeez stock clutches suck.....I raced him on 19psi with my *stock turbo*....Ive raced his friend earlier on my old setup, so I guess they never asked or assumed I switched turbo's.....Ha, oh well

I will speak on behalf of streets....

My dsm friends and I have been going every weekend and most weekday nights for over 3 months....There is an unbelievable amount of ricers and smacktalkers, but the selection of cars is incredible.....When we meet there, we usually all hang out together, depending on the day we will have 5-15 dsm's together and our friends with srt4's, ls1's, etc....

We seem to setup a race every time we go out there too, which makes things very interesting....If your into big $$$ races, we have some other spots, because typically streets is all about quick $20-100 stuff.....

If your just looking to check out cars or do some fun runs with other cars to see where you stand, streets is definitely the place....Just come out there one day and look around for my friends and I....

BTW, Strats is also a pretty big spot for straight up racing, but its more or less "Streets II" featuring faster cars and more $$$...Home of most of the ChitownInternet Racing.com guys ;)

As far as Lake county spots, more North, I am really curious to find some good places....I have heard of some Gurnee spots, and the Waukegan Honda boys, but I have never really experienced that scene....I'd love to take the Slow TSI up there with some of my friends and see if we can get a change of scenery and some good races.....Plus, a lot of our hustles only work for so long, ha, eventually people start remembering you

Unfortunatly all the Gurnee spots have all been shut down by the police. Even if they weren't, you would have a hard time finding a race you could win for money if you only have a 13 second DSM. All the Honda's that will go for money are 12s and faster and will only run on slicks and will more than likely ask for spots. The only people you would find to race for cash are the v8 boys. Unless you somehow get them to give you half track, don't bother trying. I'm not saying this is the rule but this is what happens most of the time. All the v8 guys and the Honda guys are wise to the all-wheel-drive tricks and usually cry if we don't spot them out. They will always ask for the hit.

one time I got the hit from a ws-6 when I was on 10 psi my excuse was "you got a more power than me." I edged him out barely (on 10 psi)

Lame....Maybe I'll ask for a Tennis ball from some Spraying LS1....

Im usually setup for 13's in daily driver mode, but when Im out looking for a serious race....Things are a tad different if you know what I mean...

Most real honda guys are smart around here too....They always ask for spots and the hit, no matter what kind of swap they got or times they run, AWD is the scariest thing for them....

And I didnt think it was that rough....I heard a lot of hype about talkers over at Gurnee but not enough fast cars to race....Then I remember being in the Waukegan area and seeing a lot of mildly quick bolt on or Dual cam swaps, but nothing special....

I guess I'll just stick to my spots for now....Some of my friends head to Janesville and other Wi spots, but Its not worth the drive IMO.....Id rather win small $$$ spotting out 14 second cars then drive 100 miles to bum### ville and get 1 race down

Just wanted to let you guys know that I officialy live in Lake county know. Right on the border of Mchenry county. I just got a apartment in lakemoor. Some of you might remeber me, I'm the guy with the purple, lambo door, talon.

ROFL You are so right. The road i take to get to my new place just sucks. I havent really check out the whole area yet but I bet you will be right. So does any one have a trailer i can use?

Oh I quess i should change my profile to my new home.

How about a north sider meet without going to Hooters. Get some of the WI DSMers involved. I hardly see anything from the Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha area. Someone start a thread for next weekend or something.
