If the rust isn't too deep, check out harbor freight tools off of L street in Chula Vista. I am sure they have something there. Some different grit sand paper and a good handle for it shouldn't run you more than 20 bucks to do the job. Add a thin layer of bondo and go to work with that fine grit paper, lastly primer it for paint or just take it to a paint shop to finish the rest. Its like 500 dollurz to get a good paint job at EarlShleib with a 6 year warranty. If you do take it there all they do is sand it, primer it and paint it so make sure you do all the cosmetic work like dings and details before it goes in. AHEM ! Sonic, you should also hold off on the 2nd stage fogger system and get that oxidized paint fixed first.

Naval Jelly Rust Dissolver works great followed by primer and/or paint.

Thanks for the reply guys. Naval Jelly rust remover never heard of that stuff, guess I'll have to look it up. As for the rust it hasn't penetrated too deep and is not all the way through and as of right now I think its only superficial but 2 of the spots is just so close to the window frame I can't tell if it originated from deeper in the window seat. I don't have any plans for tomorrow (not sure about the wife) if she has nothing planned then I can meet up to work on those spots.

Is not oxidized it is a custom paint job. I am about to move so I'm going to wait since there is a lot of haters here :).

So ive heard about this site and i just now decided to get an account... ive been wondering it they're are any meets and it seems like some of you are meeting up and id like to get in on that. at the moment my car is bone stock because i had to see a ref about it but once im done with all that im getting my stuff put back on, should be back together by friday. im gonna be going to the races at qualcomm, havnt had a chance to run my car so im gonna see what it can do if any of you guys are going we should meet up there or somthing.

So lets try this, we all wanna meet up so let's shoot for next sunday at noon. We can keep the Mission Beach loc if thats ok with everyone or move somewhere else. If this is ok with everyone, post it, otherwise we can reschedule it sooner than a day before this time.

In other news, I saw a white dsm with black rims on the 15/163 yesterday. He tried to take off but I dont think he had a GST... though he did have aftermarket exhaust. He tried to pull but I was able to do a few circles around him. Got to about 120 before I had to get off on the 52. Fun times. ::8D::

Sunday sounds good for me count me in I'll just have to sell it to the wife ^^. MilitaryTalon as for the bubbling on my paint I went ahead and tapped the spots on my hatch and they are in fact originating around the window seal itself so most likely I will have to take it to a shop and have them remove the window to get it done.

This Sunday is Father's Day, so that's a no-go for me.

Sunday at noon? where at? mission beach loc? or lot? white dsm huh? did he have any decals? it might have been me LOL

No decals. White DSM, 2Ga so '95 or '96, black rims, chrome lip (the ones im looking for if anyone has a set they wanna sell... 18" preferred).

So far looks like we have 3 people able to make it sunday, I know its fathers day but we dont have to be there all day. Mission Beach lot sounds good, the one by Belmont Park I think works nicely (and theres a restaurant or 2 nearby). Also we can move elsewhere if needed but best to meet up where we can all find the spot.

I would really like to come down Sun, but my wife would slash my tires if I tried. I have to get my fuel system on this weekend anyway. probably start on Sat if all the parts make it. So if anyone wants to come up here and get covered in gas on Sat come on. I know I dont race is coming.

Hey Matt! I would suggest using some Permatex High Temperature thread sealant for peace of mind. An example of where I applied it was the high pressure fuel line coming from the fuel pump assembly. You could always convert it to -AN w/ SS braided lines now or later. Also, don't forget to adjust your base fuel pressure w/ the vacuum line disconnected. I wouldn't mind swinging by on Friday if the parts are there and you're free. You know how to reach me! =]

I appreciate it Al, I'll let you know. I know my inj and new chip will be here by then, tha main things I'm not sure about are the meth components and fuel rail fittings. Can't wait to get on the road again. I really want to see how much power I can make on a stock bottom end.

Hey does anyone have a spare liquid filled 0-100 f/p gauge lying around they don't need or want. If not I'll buy one just thought I would ask.

Guys I need some advice. I got my shipping notice on my fuel rail adapter and my return line adapter for my AFPR from STM today and it's not gonna be here til the 24th.

Does anyone know anywhere close that I might be able to get:
-6an fuel rail outlet adapter and
-6an to 5/16 barb fitting.

Or does anyone have either of these items lying around. I am trying to get my car put back together this weekend as I am suppose to get it tuned on Mon or Tues.

BTW I need oring style fitting for an Aeromotive AFPR

Thanks guys

Ah damn, I have always hated shipping times. I remember going 3-day UPS shipping JUST for the fuel rail adapters..... LOL.

It's unlikely that you'll easily find the rail adapters "in stock" at any performance shop around town. I'm not too sure that there are any specific local shops that specialize in solely DSM's and would carry certain small parts such as that. I was, however, lucky enough to find a barbed hose fitting at Lowe's that fit and worked for my AEM AFPR. You'll probably have to wait it out =/ UNLESS you can find it locally through the forum or craigslist. Good luck!

So just an update:

For sunday its a good regardless how many show up, this is just the first week. We can also do another next sunday if more people can make it (also this is better notice).

As for this week I've got myself, I Don't Race and Prplh8z that have said they can make it. If anyone else is going to come down ( even if you're late ) send me a PM or post it. If necessary I can provide my number so if you're late you can text me for the loc. I plan for us to chill maybe an hour or two, maybe mob to an IHOP or dennys and get some eats etc.

On sunday I'll be in the lot by belmont park, look for the silver GST spyder with the top down 8D. I'll be there at noon, so try not to be there too much later than that.

try Marshalls Home of Marshall's Industrial Hardware, Inc. - We have it!
you can give em a call and ask if they would have fittings like such.

Kantide will you be in the lot off of vetura pl, or off of mission blvd.? I'll be there with my son as I try to get him involved as much as possible.

Whats going on guys, Not sure if i can make it on Sunday. Sunday is usually the family and womans day, plus it being fathers day makes it even worse. Im always down for Saturday meets.

Is anyone going to be at Qualcomm tonight. I might show up, a friend of mine pulled a all nighter on a car and am curious to see it run. But I wont show up until late night.

Yo Alex you showing up?

My buddy was trying to get me to run tonight, but I become overly concerned with breaking a drivetrain component LOL. I tend to baby my launches at a measly 4k, but she should be running very low 8's with the proper driver mod! [mid-high 12's]
