Ok, I got a Greddy Turbo Timer 2, with the harness. I removed the dash, crawled under, and connected the harness connectors to a black and blue connector, similar to that on the actual harness itself. Ok, good. I did not connect the e-brake connector at this time, cause i'm just wanting to get the basic functionality out of the TT, it keeping my engine on. There are also a few other wires, 3 of them to be exact, plus a small 3-pin connector which (according to the manual, goes to the safety harness) I have not hooked up.

Now, from my understanding, with me just having connected the ground and the harness between the ignition cables, it should work, right? No. I turn the car on, the music plays, up pops P-1, it switches to 1:00. (Supposedly during vehicle operation, it switches to P-1 again, though I fail to see how it actually can determine this without having the speedo-wire hooked up, which is an optional wire.)

Now, the thing is, I can turn the key to the off position, and my accessories and all will turn off. The TT itself stays on, counting down, buuuut.....as is the normal in problems like this, my engine shuts down as well.

Any sort of recommendations? This is the GTT2 model.

You should just hook up the e-brake wire and be done with it. It's only tapping one wire and should take all of 10 seconds. The way this connection works is the engine will stay running if the e-brake is UP. If not, the engine shuts down. If it is up and the turbo timer is counting down, any time the e-brake is released, the engine will stop running. Just finish your install and report back if you have any problems.

I believe the main problem was why the turbo timer although hooked up correctly did not keep the car running, but the timer itself was still on timing down.

That's what I hate about the new turbo timers out right now. It's such a simple device, but the "big brands" are trying to make it more complicated when it doesn't have to be. And add features that you will probably never use.

Read the manual, I believe there is a switch on the back of the turbo timer to sense how it is hooked up, ACC or IGN, also after that is done, you have to go into the turbo timer settings and switch it to the proper setting ACC or IGN depending on how its hooked up.

REading the manual might help:

Also you should just hook up the turbo timer. It's easy install and helpful safety feature.

I don't know if you are using a turbo timer wiring harness so its just plug and play (except the rpm and ebrake wire, that 3rd wire is not used)

If your not using a turbo timer harness and tapping it by yourself, remember

red power wire from turbo timer goes to fat white wire
black from turbo timer is ground
green from turbo timer goes to IGN (i believe its black/white)
blue from turbo timer DOES NOT GO TO OUR ACC, it goes to our IGN2 which is BLUE/BLACK
the brown goes to our ebrake wire

Thats the right way. if you can play your radio while its timing down with the key out and/or your fans were running when you had the key in the car, BUT when you took it out and it turns off, it's hooked up wrong.

I do not have the ACC/IG Switch. That's on the GTT3 model, and mine is the GTT2. Also, I did use a harness.

I have a greddy turbo timer and only hooked up the main harness. Left the other wires unhooked and works correctly for me. Now mine does the same that when you have the car running p-1 (auto) pops up and it will sit there and add time to it hits the limit. I just use the p-2 ( manual) option and set it for what ever time I want. Also when I turn the key off all acc. turn off and the timer starts counting down but the engine stays running until the timer hits 0 then it shuts off.

You need to have the e-brake cable either grounded, or hooked up to the e-brake wire itsself. If not, then the turbo timer thinks that your e-brake is not applied, thus turns off the car as a safety feature.

Hooked up the ebrake wire, confirmed it works (12v when down, 0v when up), and the engine still shuts off. I know the ebrake bit itself is working, cause I have an issue sometimes when I start the car with the ebrake off (I have a habit of putting the ebrake down before I start the car, so I don't forget) the alarm saying the ebrake is not engaged will go off.

I'm just recently having a problem with my the same turbo timer as original poster. When I first got the timer I only hooked up the harness, none of the extra wires and it worked flawlessly.
Up until a couple of days ago after alot of bad rain, did the timer decide to not keep the car running, when I turn off the car, timer says "OFF" then shuts off.

I never got mine working. I need to go through and remove all the wires and whatnot, but i'm having more of an issue with my alternator right now.
