Another turbo Q

well about 3 weeks ago i put xs-power turbo on my eclipse i rotated the oil inlet and oil outlet so they were on each side of the turbo and not up and down.
well that turbo started leaking oil into my exhaust so i thought my seals were bad
and i got a new turbo from xs-power, i decided not to adjust the position of the oil inlet or outlet "the outlet was on the top of the turbo and the inlet on the bottom.
well i started it up and oil started leaking worse than the last turbo.
about 2 weeks ago someone in this forum told me that the outlet should be on the bottom of the turbo and the inlet on the top.
can anyone tell me if that would cause my turbo to leak like hell or did i just get f**ked twice?

Always put the oil return line on the bottom, it is not pressurized so the oil will just sit in the turbo!

It is also an XS Power turbo, and I have not heard too many good things about them.

You shouldn't be able to switch the inlet and outlet of the oil without taking apart the turbo. In which case you may have messed it up. Leave them where they are supose to be, inlet on top, outlet on bottom. There is no pressure on the outlet side so how do you expect the oil to flow up? Then again they are XS power turbo's so they are probably messed up already. Cut corners and this is the type of problems you will get.

That is why they aren't a good company to buy from. They don't exactly think things over. That turbo would work great on say a KA24De or SR20DET where the turbo can be top mounted. No on a DSM though.
