ok long story short my altenator fuse keeps blowing out when i go to connect the ground wire to the battery. there are also big sparks when the second of the 2 ground wires touches the terminal. what is causing this?

It sounds like you have a short some where. It could be in your alt. Wich you can take off and have tested. Other than that you will have to check all the wires and make sure none are bare. Also make sure that you are hooking up the correct wires on the battery. Black with yellow for the ground and black with red for the positive.
