I want to make this short and sweet. I had a stock 99 longblock. i swapped the head for an evo3 and built it up (kelford 272s, kiggly valve train, etc). The block, all I did was swap rods/pistons (for evo 8). After I had it all said and done, i tried to prime the oil pump (with timing installed, all i did was remove fuel and spark and tried to crank), i tried to then start the car and for awhile, it did...then after awhile of troubleshooting, it did (cam angle sensor 180* out was the solution). stupidly, I let the car run for about a minute, maybe a minute and a half then cut it off because I realized I had no oil pressure.

I then did this method to prime my oil pump (the car was on jackstands from January to July): http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...pump-timing-components-already-installed.html

as I was pumping with a suction gun, I saw oil coming out of my head and going thru my oil pressure gauge line for my holset. I only pumped til the oil reached the firewall on my gauge line, then stopped. Tried to start the car...didnt start...3 days later (today), i tried to crank it, and no oil was going thru the line. So now, I'm totally lost, losing hope, cussing like a sailor, and...idk...just alot of crap.

My question is what could it be or what could I do next? My next step is to check the pick up tube and make sure its tight (could someone tell me the torque specs? it wasn't in the haynes manual i don't think...unless I missed it). Could it be that? bad oil pump? bad oil pressure sender? leak some where? Ideas would be great so I can get this car running. I'm pretty much begging..I havent driven a DSM since last June :( and I'm DYING to push this holset

To prime your oil pump, take off the timing belt and attach a high speed drill and a socket to your oil pump and prime away. Then put your timing belt on, make sure it's timed properly, then start it. If your still having oil pressure issues, what about balance shafts, are they deleted? If so are the bearings turned properly? Oil squirter stuck open? Oil pick up tube possibly not tight, or too close/far from the oil pan (idk the specs off hand).
