another newbie!

i have a 1990 talon tsi that broke a belt last year and the head was damaged beyond repair, the pistons have valve dents and the motor just broke over 100,000 miles. so do i rebuild or buy a long block from slowboy racing.i would like to have a street and strip car if possible. oh yeah i bought the car for the price of a mcdonalds breakefast,the guy was broke.

It all depends on your budget. If you want a good street/strip car you may want to tear into the bottom end.

Budget? What hp you want? Rebuilt motor or just repair? Do you plan on getting a rebuilt tranny any time?

It's a 6-bolt? No need to mess with the bottom end.

can this motor be saved w/ the pistons dented? if not i will rebuild it.just finished my 71 chevelle now ineed a new project.
