Another headace please help

ok so last week my headlights would not work. I couldn't figure out why. The light for the high beams wouldnt come on inside the car. No high or low beams. I checked every fuse the relay nothing. then noticed the battery terminals were loose tightened them. The headlights started working again. Last night i was going down the road and they shut off by themselfs they came on and off for a min about four times then nothing. Again i checked fuses and all the relays. Ive checked the wireing by the headlights because ive got a 91 with a 92 front end swap. Nothing. any ideas? im wondering if theres away to test the swich inside the car some how? my last question is will a switch from a 90-94 work or just 90-91? thanks for the help

Personally, it sounds like you have a poor connection somewhere. Is it possible that there is a lose or frayed wire for the headlights somewhere? The switch going bad seems kind of wired to me, you could try to simply disassemble the switch and connect the wires directly and see if that dose anything. Maybe some wires have corroded in the harness and by the battery and your getting a poor connection. Just a few ideas.
