So this is going to sound a little ridiculous, but bear with me.....in the mid 90s dodge/Chrysler caravans had an awd option. Was their rear diff supplied fron mitsubishi? I ask this only because they are usually cheap cars to buy, found in junk yard every where and if that rear diff is a feasable option then that would be a good place for replacement diffs for those of us on a budget? I suppose the transfercase could be viable as well.....anyone ever looked into this?

If the chrysler 3.3l v6 awd transmission matched up to the 420a, then in theory you could make an awd 420a? Im going to do some more research.

so I did some research, and found the chrysler used the A604 trans which had three sub models: fwd 40TE, 41TE and the AWD 41AE. they used them on 2.2L, 2.5L, 3.0L (6g72), 3.3L and 3.8L. Some versions were driverside mounted transaxel and t-case. Possible option for n/a guys who go turbo?
