Ok i came up with a design for us 2g guys, a know alot of people who went gm mas to externally dump the bov! Yes we all love the sound! Came up with new product still in the works but its a sure fire. This kit will make your stock bov LOUD without sacraficing and power loss at top boost/no stalling, and uses stock 2g mas, its actually a mod you will do to the hose that runs from the bov to the dump tube (not talking about the free mod). When i get done i will post pics for sure. average cost should be around 3-5bucks/or even less to make. Like i said its still in the works and we are gonna test it on 1gs also! Any Q's?

I have a '93 Talon & I use the MAF-Translator. I have a dejon intake with the stock BOV dumping into the stock hose before the turbo. I can hear the BOV through the open air filter. I hope some of the compressed air is available for the next gear.
IMHO having the BOV act as a compressor bypass makes more sense. I also would not go to the MAF-Translator so I could dump to the atmosphere. I have the translator to increase HP, not to make noise.
For me it's about HP, not wooooosshhh. To each his own. Enjoy the ride! Mark

I do agree on your bypass theory though! THIS PRODUCT WILL NOT ADD HP WILL NOT DECREASE HP JUST ADD COOL SOUND (sorry for the caps)
I cant say exactly how its gonna work quite yet, got the prototype done a few hours ago gonna see how it goes in the morn, as i said its in the works and things may change, i dont wanna mislead anyone.

I believe he has that 4000 lb. Buick running in the 11's now.
Hey if guys want BOV's to be loud that's fine with me. I just read a post where a '90 DSM wih an EVO got dusted badly by one of those SRT Neons. It's time for me to take a personal inventory of my goals. Getting eaten by a neon is not something I care for. What turbo besides these 16G's would ad a significant amount of power? It seems the 50 trims are ho but which one? There must be a dozen variations out there. Sorry for detour, Mark

if your putting any air into the atmosphere at all it will run like shit. ive seen check valves, holes, etc in the return hose. If any air at all gets out, this mod is dumb.

You cannot let some air out and most into the intake and be fine.

Walked Talon if you feel I am bashing you I apologize right here and now for all members to see. I also ask for your forgiveness. I did not try to intentionally bash anyone nor would I. I saw that you were from Valdosta Georgia and Richard Lassiter is known for his Buick GS and I thought perhaps you knew of him.
I don't know where the EVO and '90 cars came from or what it is supposed to imply. My only comment was that if anyone put a noisy BOV ahead of performance that I thought they were lost. You did state that your intentions were not HP related and if I remember I stated in one of my responses to go for it! That if a loud BOV was anyones desire that was fine with me.
I am fairly new to DSM's having owned Conquests whih are a Mitsu turbo'd product.
I was a little confused by the "are you lost" remark and I tried to explain the Valdosta connection as well as I could.
