All right i searched and read all the threads i could find and i know that the general agreement is to tell who ever asks to sell their GS-T and just buy a GSX. The same sort of logic applies those who want to swap their 420a for a 4g63t. I love the 420a and i would rather not turbo or swap the engine in my car however i want to try to make it all wheel drive. Now i know this will be a lot of work and fab but it seems easier then hunting for a na 4g63 to use. My question to you all is does any one have any ideas or suggestions i've already helped a friend swap his spyder to all wheel drive. So i know how much work goes into a "normal" swap. This is my goal a mildly built all wheel drive 420a is it even possible, do you think its even worth the pain and anguish

No, not really. You'll never be able to break a pair of slicks loose without a turbo, and for the snow, snow tires are just fine.

You would have to get a custom bellhousing made to mate up something like an evo transmission and tcase or easier to find would be something from mother mopar like out of the AWD caravans. I've seen people with 80's TD's running the caravan AWD gear. The 420a and the 2.2/2.5 from the TD's are MUCH more similar than the 420a and any 4g63 ever made. Not sure about the 4b11 from the evo-x, (is that the right engine) but good luck getting one of those transmissions.

If you want something to say that nobody else has, you can get it. Be warned, there are a lot of really good reasons nobody else has it.

Hahaha oh wow. Your best bet is to buy a turbo awd car and take the turbo off. Either that or buy a subaru.

Best bet will be buying a gsx witha blown motor and swapping in a na 6 bolt from a 1g. They are a dime a dozen to find.

Good luck finding a 420a trans to accomodate the transfer case. Unless they sell some kind of bellhousing adapter, but i doubt it

I was just going to say your first problem would be coming up with a tranny & transfer case. And diff possibly.
