Damn that's pretty legit man. I'm not scared of people taking my whole car i'm more scared of little hood rats breaking the windows and taking my TT or gauge pillar or Cd player etc...
But I'm still looking around at alarms some guy in Slc will do a python for 200 installed pretty much the best price i've heard with the better brand.

DEI makes an amazing product. I've been installing Viper remote starts and alarms for about a year now, when I first started we worked with the Audiovox brands, but the new Vipers put Audiovox to shame. As for the Autopage you seem so fond of, I've installed them as well. I wasn't impressed. And if you manage to find one that has a "driver page" option, run. Run far and fast. Unless you want your car to tell you someone is tapping on your windshield every couple of minutes...

Bottom line, DEI products rule! I had a Python 160xv on my RS before I sold it. Alarm and remote start, add on window roll up/down module. It started from about 1500 ft with no issues. I'm lucky to get my factory remote to work within 5 ft.

Lol I pretty much gave up on auto page honestly. My brother told me he had so many problems with his on his 97 spyder a few years back. So since you install alarms how much would a basic DEI alarm be all I want is alarm and keyless entry and still have the options to add on hatch popper or gas tank popper ect..

Shop prices vary, but somewhere around $200-250 for the basic alarm and install would be close. However if you want a trunk pop/gas tank pop those jobs will require actuators, and custom mounting and wiring. The price goes up probably by at least another $250-300... I'd just stick with the alarm and not worry about popping your hatch/gas tank...:thumb:

Thats what wheel locks are for! :thumb: Of course there's a way to beat those too, but somebody can always find a way to get around something - somehow.

That and if it's a GSX and they put on a different diameter wheel they can have fun ruining the drivetrain they're stealing.
