montreal,
I got a 95 2g with a 6 bolts engine. When I bought it, no remote came with the car. If I lock both door (from the lever inside), a security light in dash. Close both doors. When I unlock with the key, the alarm start and I unplug the battery to make it stop.

When the alarm is active, I can open the rear hatch with the key and the alarm wont start.

I love having the alarm on my car exept that I don't know how to disarm it BEFORE opening the door.

Anyone has the answer or the alarm schematic.

That would be great. Thanks

Dan

stock security alarm? after market? which?

It is the sotck alarm.

That is exactly my problem, when I unlock with the key and open the door, it goes on.
The car was rebuild and doors were changed. So maybe there is a switch, sensor etc missing?

Anyone know what switch or sensor need to be there to disarm the alarm with the key?

And just so you know, the alarm start only when I open the door and not when I unlock it.

There is a switch that is piggybacked on the exterior keylock drum that is susposed to shutoff the alarm when the key is turned. It is likely that the switch was not hooked up when the door was rebuilt.

Its reasons like this that I have the Viper 790xv :sneaky:

How do you remove that to get to the sensor? Even I dont understand that. Is it behind the door panel right under the plastic, or is it between the 2 metal parts of the door itself? The way you worded it sounds too unspecific and thats why I ask that.

Are you pretty sure that it is the sensor with three wires on the back of the cylinder lock.

Because they were not installed when I bought the car.

I put them on the cylender but seems to still cause the problem.
