Air Intake Problem

i recently bought a air intake for my 91' eclipse non turbo. it had no instructions with it, but after i installed, i had to remove my maf (or mas). but now, it idles 600 rpm higher, and when the motor is cold, it will not idle, it will just die, but runs excellent over 2k. any ideas on what to do with the maf? or is it just that the intake sucks balls, suggestions please, and let me know what some of you did with this. im not sure if good intakes come with something for the maf, but this one didnt, cause its a cheap $20 off ebay. please help

Put your mafs back on IMMEDIATLY. Honestly. Attach it to the intake with a coupler or something, Just get it on there now.

yeah uh...
You need the Maf for you car to run properly.
You can keep the intake, but the filter that came with it will not work.
You'll have to find a coupler (home depot) to connect the MAF and stock filter (or K&N cone) to the end of the intake. Should be good to go after that.
