I think there is a sentence in there. Old dried out and tore? Only time my friend blew up his cone and his TPS on his honda was with a 100 shot of NOS. He thought the light was going to turn red and it didn't. Pics?

OP- I'm assuming the silicone around the base tore, right near the clamp? That could be caused by many things like the rubber drying out, the clamp cutting into the base, or just vibrations slowly tearing it.

So either way it need to be replaced. What year/model do you have? What size/kind of MAF adapter plate is on there? Which filter you need just depends on those 2 things. If it's one of those black plastic adapters that necks down then I would highly suggest replacing it with a 4" adapter and K&N filter.
