AiM Sports MXL Pista

I've been wondering a long time about these. Can someone tell me how it would hook up. Obviously, there are sensors that need to be placed and hooked up to the unit. But if I were to get this, is it possible to totally remove all the wires going to my stock gauge cluster along with sensors like speed etc...
Basically, I need an overview of this thing. And how how you would hook it up to your car, because I imagine, there's more to it than just connecting some sensors and hooking up to a power source.

My best friend uses AiM Sports Mychron on his go kart, and it's pretty neat, and he's the one that turned me on to the idea.

I don't see any reason why this would not work with any DSM. But looking over the website, I do not see anything suggesting that that they have a Plug'n'Play adapter to get all of the info from your ECU.

Basically I believe you could buy this, and splice all the connectors from your ECU harness into the connector of the MXL Pistra Display - Just by using the pin out info for your ECU from the manual and the pin out info from the manual for the MXL Pistra Display - which I'm sure you'd get with the product or available online in PDF form. Look at Page 5 of 56 - it gives you a full break down on what pin needs what connection from your ECU.

But I have no experience with the Pista Digital Displays so take this info as it is.

Yea, seems easy enough. I just know there is a catch.

I don't expect anyone to have experiece with this. If someone did I'd be amazed. My go kart friend can only help me so much.
