Just brought my Talon home tonight. :D

Long story short though, I'm 6'5 and boy is my right leg jammed in there! If only the steering wheel tilted up another notch or was a bit smaller. Is there any solution to this problem? I know there are plenty of great aftermarket wheels avalible however, I'm worried about both safety and legality.

Additionaly I'm also worried about safety in the currenty state. I have no way to "jump" out of the car quickly and if I'm in a wreck I'm sure my right leg is going to be a squashed pancake. Did the wheel size ever change, can a diffeerent Airbag equiped wheel be installed (one from a 3rd Gen or a 03-05 Neon?).

Thanks. I'll get pics up in a gallary ASAP (to dark and cold right now). :thumb:

facebomb = airbag = 1000 bucks out of your pocket from bumping a car in a parking lot :thumbdown
My sister was in a fender bender just recently, here air bag did not go off nor did the other driver. My father was "bumped" in the rear about a year ago and his airbag nor the other guys whent off. :|

I did some searches of the wheel subject, you guys agaisnt seat belts as well, damn that Gov't telling us what to do.

I the article the guy mentions a "front L plate" what is that?
Get under the dash with a flashlight and look where the steering column flexes when you adjust the wheel. You'll see what they're talking about.

I'm all for seat belts. But I sure don't need to be slapped in the face, have my hands blown off the steering wheel and have a bag over my eyes during a crash. I may have more steering to do.

I'd prefer a harness, but our oh-so-bright government won't let us drive with them on the street- because they haven't been bribed to.

Oh so true. Argument agaisnt them I hear is "people won't take the time to put it on". Wouldn't a harness also increase the chances of sevre whip-lash or a "Basilar Skull" fracture? (spelling). Because now your body doesnt slide forward that inch or two like it does with a normal seat belt, the only thing moving is your head.

Yeh, if you're doing 185 at time of impact. For street speeds, they're just going to be better.
