I am getting an afpr soon for my setup. What fp should I be running?

Manual 1G's run 36-38 psi base pressure (with the pressure reference hose disconnected)
You can run different base pressures as long as you tune the car for that pressure.
Changing the base pressure changes the "size" of the fuel injectors and that's why you have to tune when changing it.

Most people leave it at the stock base setting to simplify the adjustment when changing the injectors.

right now i am running the stock injectors. so i should just set the afpr to 36-38psi, and im set (as far as my tuning purposes)?

well if you up the boost then i would run it a little higher. just log it and tune for no knock and nice timing also turn up the boost. just make sure you get ## ltft and stft right. but i woouldn't turn the pressure up more than 46psi, it could put a toll on ## injectors.

yeah that all sounds great, but i have no data logging system, but am looking into picking up an safcII soon

Get an aeromotive fpr and keep the base fuel pressure at stock (36-38psi). It will make life much easier for you.

thanks guys. i just recently started upgrades that require some kind of tuning, so now its time to study;)

Two things

1. The megan racing unit is not 1:1. This means it stays the same, even when your boosting, this is bad. You will start running lean when the boost comes.
2. I reccomend the Import evolution Aeromotive kit. Has everything you need to install on a DSM except the guage. You can get regular fuel hose or SS as well. The Aeromotive itself is a nice piece. Deffinately the way to go.

i ordered the aeromotive afpr kit 2 days ago, along with the b&m underhood gauge.:thumb: thanks for all of the info, or i probably would have gotten the meagan racing one:notgood:
