Edmonton,
question for you all.. i gotta tap my fuel rail for this AFPR install...(so i can use a 90deg au-06 fitting out of it) it says the connections are Au-06.. My dads a heavy duty machanic and he dosnt have that thred? Is there another name for it.. Does this convert to something like a metric tap?
thanks

trev

Probably should read "AN -6" not "Au -6".

www.vfaq.com has 2 different methods for the fuel rail fittings.

Also search "fuel rail fittings" on this site.

I'd just go with the ready made fittings. PM TOTalon, he may be able to hook you up.

yea ok AN-06 then.. What do i tap it with? a metric tap? or is there an actually AN-06 Tapper?

U can probably well you can get NPT ? AN fittings. The rails like 1/2 or 3/4 my guessing you would need either size search the board someone has done this install. Then tap the rail to the NPT fitting screw it in connect your AN hose to the afpr.

You could tap the outlet of the rail for NPT or you could use one of these fittings:

I used these fittings with much sucess. You can then run your 90* 6AN fitting to a piece of hose to the regulator. I can assure you that this fiting with a 90* #6 on it, it will clear the t-belt cover also.

Well, SBR has them, but they are wayyy overpriced @ $25 each!! I got mine off of eBay from Speed Source for about $20 for and inlet and an outlet about 2 years ago. :thumb:

Here's their website. http://www.speed-source.net/ Bottom left corner. Looks like the price went up a little since I bought mine. It's still a better deal than SBR's. Speed Source only wants $32 shipped for a pair. :dsm:
