afc vs. afcII?

what are the pros and cons of both?

I was just wondering if i need everything that is added to the afcII. like knock sum gauge, ex... i already have dsmchips stage 3 with stock boost gauge showing knock and will be purchasing logger soon.

I don't know all the pro's and con's of I vs II

I do know however that they have not been able to probe that the knock count on the safc II is accurate. I have been told that the safcI gets the job done fine. I'm going to be running a safcI myself. I have been told by alot of dsm guys that they like the safcI better. take it for what it is worth. Its just stuff I have heard surrounding it. Sorry i couldn't have been more help.

If your going to get a logger then the II is not really necessary but i have the II and i like it but it has a screen that shows correction, throttle position and i believe rpms but i cant totally remember at this time because its been a couple of weeks sense i could drive my eclipse but i like that screen but anyway to answer your question either on would work great for you if you can find a I that is much cheaper then just buy that it will treat you just fine.

any advice on what palm to get for a logger and where? need one that will do everything but dont need a top of the line.

I have a Palm III that works well. I use pocketlogger which is what I recommend. Or you could use MMCd which is free. Make sure you get a compatable palm like the III, check the FAQs on both before you purchase your hardware.

What is a decent price for a palm like the palm IIIxe?

does MMCd show same info as pocketlogger?

and last, pocketlogger is just the cable and software correct?

uhh yeh but does anyone have any input for a obdII pocket logger. I mean like free software and all. And no body really explained the difference between the safc 1 and 2. Is there more componets to the 2nd one or what. What are the features of each and what do the features do.

does the afcII have settings that you can save for 2 different boost settings? like 2 "maps" one for low boost and one for high boost?
