I installed my afc 2 and just to get my long and short trim to cancel eachother I am at +12 at
1000rpm and +10 at 1600rpm. Does this seam right? I am on my stock turbo and injectors and on Vfaq it says to start off with -5 at 1000rpm and -9 at 1600rpm? Help greatly appreciated. I am scared to go on tuning because I don't want to blow my motor.

First of all, why the hell do you need an SAFC? You have stock turbo, stock injectors. What's the deal? Oh, you must be one of those ricers.

Actually, I am getting an Evo 3 16g for my birthday so I am getting the support mods first.
And thank you for the good advice

Well what the hell you tuning for? Leave it alone before you blow your motor up.

I would start off with a fresh reset on the ECU for a couple days, than proceed with checking your trims. They tend to get out of wack overtime, or atleast they do on my car.

thanx I think that might be the problem because my car always runs weird for a little while after I unplug the battery. Can I leave the afc on 0% for every rpm point until the fuel trims striaghten out?

Yes, leave everything at 0% for now, and then check your fuel trims and go from there. You wont be able to do much at all with stock injectors. In case you havent already, read this a few times so you know what your doing in there.

yes I read that a bunch of times but it kind of confused me a little. I am going to leave my corrections on 0% . If I leave them on zero can I keep my throttle points at 35%and 65% or should I leave those at zero to?

Cmon calling him a ricer you have "forgot brand" in your vehicle profile. Thats a red flag.

Short answer: You can leave the TH points where they are.
Not so short answer: This is possible because its basically used to determine where part throttle is, where full throttle is, and everyhing in between goes into averaging the best % correction between the two. Its just saying 0-35 is low throttle. 65-100 is full throttle. 35-65 is averages of the two. If they are all zero percent corrections than it isnt going to make any changes, making this all possible. It will basically intercept the airflow signal and pass it along unharmed.

thanks for your help. that is exactly what I needed to know. :thumb:

Oh no! Holy cripes! I can't remember what brand my radiator fans are! At least I can tune. A lot better than you I'll add, too.
BTW When your sig is edited by the moderators you know somethins screwy with you.

You dont even know me, or my tuning abilities, im not looking for a post battle here but if you dont have anything important to say shut up instead of letting your ego get the best of you and let people that want to learn learn from the other kids on this site that will help someone instaed of putting them down. Hope your fat head can swallow that. P.S. Signature was " Was that a V-8, HAHAHAHA"

ya I agree, if your just going to make fun of people and not help, then don't even post here because nobody wants to hear it.

You throttle pts for Stock should be 20 / 60 and leave the lo/hi tables alone until you get a bigger turbo and injectors.
