im debating on which one to get :thumb:

and dont say search :shhh:

I just got my OBX Underdrive pulley and I love it. I had it installed by a ASE shop so I don't have any belt sqeaks or anything. I think it was my best mod as of yet.(I have an Iceman intake and header back exhasut). I would go with the OBX cause I got mine shipped to my door for $75 instead of the $140 for AF/X

Seriously af/x is the best one on the market imho, obx does not make bad products at somethings (Like cam gears) but they are horrible at others (their dreaded intake manifold).... soo AFX

PS I wasn't kidding, give me your money :p

u lil whore af/x is for ppl with deep pcokets my pockets arent that deep

I have an arospeed one I picked up locally very cheap. It has been great and was definately the mod with the most bang for the buck.

You can get the AF/X for 130 shipped that is what i got cause i didn't want to take my chances and it cost me 97.50 to get it installed at the dealership definitly worth it !!! :thumb:

They're known to be of poor quality and crack easily.

thank you :p , OBX does not r&d their own products....they copy others designs.

For example their cam gears are really based of the aem cam gears which are not a bad product.

Their intake manifold is based of the Venom intake manifold..... :barf:

There are threads here that you can search of results of people using their im and not liking the quality.....

ive herd a couple of fokes say that the obx udp is awsome... the only thing i dont like about it is it dosent come with any belts so by the time u buy the belts and shit you might as well bought the afx from howell because its gonna cost the same :thumbdown thats the only bad things i see about it, other then that it lookes exactly like the afx and im srue its probable the same as far as the rest of it goes as well :D

i got the obx on ebay for 200.00 cause i was too lazy to port and polish my oem intake and too cheap to go for the venom one. turns out the obx needs a hell of a lot more grinding on than a stock manifold. where the runners meet the flange is badly misaligned, with about a 3/8 inch step on some edges. took a few hours of hard grinding and polishing but now it looks like a million bucks. (hope it doesn't crack)

[sighs, looks at watch]

[fiddles w/ fingers]

Did it crack yet? :p j/k hehe hope it works out for you.....You know an avg shop would have cost you 100-150ish to p&p stocker righttt???

I bought the OBX intake manifold, and it looks great. I'm a inexperienced welder (but have a little experience) and my buddy is a VERY experienced welder. The welds and the craftsmanship on the OBX manifold are excellent. Miami, not bashin you bro, but I dont think you've seen one yet. There is nothing wrong with that intake. Same quality as the Venom Intake, but way less price.

Oh yeah....

NEW MANIFOLDS ARE NOT MEANT FOR NA CARS!!! You will not gain performance from a new intake manifold unless your Cammed or boosted. So don't be saying "I lost power when I put it on." if your NA.

Seems like you contradicted yourself in this message.

Haha.... sorry. I meant stock internal NA cars. Hows that?

snoopy basicly what me and mike are saying is that venom/obx because its basicly the same product. has strayed away from the "bolt on" theory, sure its good but you have to make it work is all where saying... its all about comsumer friendly in that effect it blows, it blows big time
because of the grinding and welding and missfitment of parts :thumb:

I agree with that, the install was very annoying, but the end product is well worth the means. it runs batter and looks way nicer!! now u can't say that a little work isn't worth that now can u? oh and i'm not just talking actually have it and have done all the drilling and tapping crap since it doesn't come with shit on it, and an extra hole i the back, LOL. but custom is what i'm all about.

for some dumbass reason i figured it would be easier to install the manifold THEN the fuel rail and injectors. it went in a lot quicker the 2ND time though. biggest pains: grinding the hell out of it and gasket matching, 90degree fittings for the vac stuff in back, and moving that damn throttle pulley box that it was hitting on the left side. looks like a million bucks though.

It seems like OBX makes their products strictly for EBay cause that's the only place I see em, haha. I was thinking about getting the Unorthodox Racing one for mine. Any input on that one?
I have the unorthodox racing udp and it has made a huge difference i installed it on wensday and i noticed more power every day it is leveling off tho its cuz the compter has to adjust but all in all it has been great and only took an hour or so to install cuz i had problems with the right belt size. What is the estimated gain on an udp and how much will it help my 1/8 mile ? :laser:
BTW mine a 1gen and i got it on e-bay brand new 135 prolly the best deal ever.
