Does this pump need to have the relief valve punched so it doesn't release under high pressure?

I run the Aeromotive 340 intank pump and didn't punch mine out. I am a 2.0 with 1650's and a HX40 on stock lines and have not had a problem. I do admit I may be pushing the limit in more than one area but so far it's all good. Just from a fellow user.

I didn't punch mine, currently just a stock rebuilt 2.0, 14b with bolt ons and v3, so nothing crazy. Future will be a holset to start, then more.

I know ppl do it with walbros but im not sure it's needed with the 340.

Highest I've hit is 22lbs/boost, so 59lbs fuel pressure so far, no issues with fuel as far as ive seen. I'm going to be pushing it more this year hopefully, and Im also going to get a fuel pressure sensor so I can actually log it in link.

I think @GST with PSI could give you more info on what the pump can handle, IIRC he was/is using one on his galant.
