AEM v2 intake question?

i was wonderin what the hole on the side was for.??

you'll need a short piece of tubing, but that goes from there to the top of your valve cover on the right side. There is a short breather pipe that comes out. Thats where it goes.

no, no, no, thats for the crazy emmisions control thing 95's had. Since you have a 97, dont worry about it. There is a cap that come with it, put it on.

The breather hose you are speeking of is on the skinny part of the V2, its out of view.

The only thing I think of is fitment; A/Ts are much larger transmissions than M/Ts. The AEM V2, being a CAI, doesn't have enough room for the pipe to be properly routed with that larger A/T in the way.

Other than that, I can't think of why the V2 shouldn't work with both models; it's just an intake...

NO sorry for the misunderstanding i do not like automatics and am going to convert to MT as soon as possible....assuming there isn't any reliablity problems with the conversion as i plan to use my car as a daily driver as well but i much prefer a good old 5 Speed to an automatic any day. but my real question is since it's only transmission size preventing me using a V2 CIA then i should be able to use it no problem after the conversion right?...
