My brand new AEM true time cam gears do not have the marks on them to line up the two gears together? What should I do, or how do I line up these gears? Anyone with similar problem?

They should,

Note the holizontal line on either side... just above the middle screws to adjust them

Unless yours are something else IDK

I think he's referring to the actual mechanical timing marks that stock gears have. I had the same issue with these and there is no marks to line up like others have. It really quite sucks and takes some attention to detail to make sure they are in time. I had a set of stock cam gears and just counted from 12:00 around and used white out to put the mark on the AEM. The exhuast cam gear mark is in a valley of the tooth, and the intake is on the crest. I can give you an exact count when I get home. The easiest thing for you to do is just put the new gears up to the old gears and use them as a stencil. I had my new gears mounted on new cams so It was a little more difficult for me. I second guessed myself a few times doing timing. Use the jay racing tool to help you also..

The gear in the picture that he posted has timing marks on the gear.

well you have a picture to go by to make your own marks. that pic shows the exhaust mark being in the 12th valley and the intake mark being on the 12th peak. maybe someone here can take a pic of their marks as a reference for you.

my friends didnt have the marks either, but my other friends silver set had them.... I think it may be a factory defect, gears not having a timing mark is just a problem waiting to happen smh

OK so I counted and matched the timing marks up from the old ones and now I installed them and when I line up the two marks I made the 12 oclock mark on the gear doesnt seem to be at exact 12 0clock. Anyone have that prblem before?
