I need to overhauling the head with new SS nitrided valves and valve spring and retiner kit, I'll get the parts from SBR. So which valve spring and retiner kit will be better with ported head and HKS 264/272 cams setup Crower kit or SI Dual valve springs with Manley Performance titanium retainers kit

From what i understand, you dont even need a crower valvetrain unless you are trying to go j-shep fast. I have a good friend who puts shims on top of the springs and puts out well over 500hp to the ground and revs around 9k with his 60-1.

Yea, tell us your goals. Valvetrain is probably not necessary...

My goal is 450 hp and I always rev the engine up to 8K rpm, so I want to have some sort of valve float protection by upgrading the valve train. In addition, the overhauling of the head is must due valve seal frailer in most the valves...the engine is suddenly stop because of too much oil leaking to cylinders causing the plug to malfunctioning.
