Advice needed for 2G Stock BOV upgrade (vent into intake)

Hi guys,

Alright, I'm all new to the DSM scene, but did read about the stock 2G BOV that it's basically a piece of plastic and can easily leak, and should be changed.

I would like to change/upgrade it to a BOV, which is recirculated just like the original one and vents into the intake. MAS system is stock, so I need something that won't confuses the MAS.

I don't need the fancy "psssshhhhh" sound, just would like to upgrade to a better BOV.

Any advice/recommendations for such BOV? Other than a crushed 1G BOV, please.

I agree with the 1G valve. Either that or a Greddy RS with the recirc fitting, which is what I have on my car. Do not use a generic Ebay one or a Blitz, I had a Blitz (came with the car) and it started to leak boost at 7 PSI. And I've seen a couple ebay ones that just wont open at all at lower pressure, bad for the turbo.

I put a 1g uncrushed on my 2g, works great! All you will need is the flange from a 1g and a small piece of pipe welded to the bottom of the flange.

Just about any BOV will be better than the stock 2g BOV. If you haven't upgraded to hard pipes it would be a good time to do it as well and get a pipe that is flanged for the BOV you wish to run.

Check out RRE's site, RRE's Eclipse Intake and Exhaust Upgrades. I'm currently running their hard pipes and a 1g valve as well. I'd recommend it.

Hard pipe's & a 1g bov is the way to go imo.That's what I run & I like it better than the Greddy Type-S bov that I also have that just collects dust now in my garage.

1G BOV FTW. If you need to hold more than 16 PSI then do the dodge mod and it should hold 30.
