AC relay issue

i put a good relay in the AC socket and when i press the AC button i get a tick coming from under the intake manifold... and i get no cold air

if i just wire the two plugs where the relay is supposed to go, the AC turns on blows cold air and i have no problems... any ideas?

Check the fuse for the ac. It seems like the relay is clicking over but there is no power on the hot side. Let me know

well the only ac fuse i know of, is in the same box as the ac relay and that fuse is fine... and the clicking isnt coming from the relay its coming from behing the motor by the belts...

The clicking is probably (and is supposed to be) the A/C compressor clutch engaging (which you can see to verify). You do know that you must have the blower switch also on for the A/C to work right? Not sure what "two plugs where the relay is supposed to go" means. Are you jumpering relay pin 4 (black/white wire) to pin 5 (black/red) which forces the compressor to engage (which is what the relay does)? And if so are you also pressing the A/C button and blower switch on?
