So I now have all the parts for my engine build and am about to start talking to machine shops. I was going to use jam to do the machining but after checking the align bore is good so i decided to use stock main bolts so i felt their machining was a bit pricy for what my goals were.

Im going to have the machine shop do the following.

bore and hone cylinders to .20 over with proper piston to wall clearance.
check the deck for flat and true. machine if needed
hot tank the block
polish the crank
balance the rotating assembly

before dropping the block off i will bottom tap all the bolt holes

I was going to do a 2.3 build but decided to do a higher comp 2.0 with higher boost and revving it out farther

my parts list is

the tried and true
wiesco pistons in 9.0:1
eagle rods
acl tri metal rod and main bearings
arp head
new oem main bolts
new replacement freeze plugs
new front case
new dampener
oem mls head gasket
new oil pan
new oil pick up tube

I am only looking for a low 11 second car so the piston and rod choice is fine since they are proven for 500+ horse power

My question is should I have the machine shop do anything else while they have the block or rotating assembly?
