About to get fired.

Well Tomorrow I believe I am going to get fired from my job. not really too much of a surprise, the only two women that work there have been working at it since I have started. The reason is I knew the owner previously before I was employed there briefly. One admitted to me that she used to try and get me started and has since stopped, the other is continuing to. It sucks b/c she is lying and they are actually believing her b/c she has worked there 3yrs and me about a 1yr. She has trouble with everyone but has seemed to single out me.

Oh well I am kinda looking forward to it. I go in at 9:30 in the morning for this meeting we are going to have and will find out then.

Anyone else have this type of problem?

I think he's trying to say that some uppity bi*** where he works doesn't like him and has been pushing his buttons to get him to slip up and do something that would get him fired. Since he got wise to that plan, she's shifted gears and is now setting him up in some other way. She's been talking shit about him to their superiors and he suspects they will take her side based on seniority.

A ####ed up situation. Good luck, but it will be e relief to be free of such childish antics. Keep a cool head and don't let on that it upsets you. If they see you sweat, they win. Let them think you're not bothered by it in the slightest and you completely disarm them.

Thanks for that. That is what I have been thinking. Me and my brother started our jobs at the same time. He put in his resignation yesterday, so it looks like we are going through the whole process together again.
I am about to go into work and find out. I will let yall know.

Don't quit if you want to get unemployment. Let them fire you and then file to get your $. Quitting and shuoting screw you feels great at the time, but the next 3 months feel super wonderful when you don't go to work, but still get a paycheck.

I've been there. Once, at a dealership, I got on the "wrong" side of an internal aggument between two supervisors. It appears the one I didn't like had the more power. When I got fired, I told the owner everything this individual was doing. His response? Oh, well, she has the authority. I told him that she was going to cost him a dealership. I don't think he believed me. Now, he is working in a used car lot in another town as a salesman. She went nuts and got her position deleted while she was in the booby hatch.

Moral of the story? Do what is right, and give your best. Sometimes being fired just means that you have a better opportunity waiting.

HOW ####ING IRONIC IS THIS SHIT!!! I just found out that our company will be closing down in FL yesterday and our last day of work is March 28th. The owner came down from Denver where the main office is and simply let us know that "THERE WERE JUST TOO MANY HURRICANES". Damn this shit sucks to live in Florida, I'm going back to NY.. The funny thing is that this has been a rumor for along time and they kept telling us that it wasnt going to happen. I came in to work today and nobody was here, I guess everybody called it quits but as for me I'll stay because I have a huge severance check coming.

They were really relaxed about it, my immediate supervisor told me that he didnt agree with it and would give a great reference.

A coworker asked hime if it was true, he said that it was. The guy siad this is ####in' Bullshit and walked out. Everyone was upset! as I waited around for my termination notice they all talked about how they thought it was unfair. Told me that they would do everything they could to make her life a living hell for while. .

As for me I am REALLY excited about the whole thing, as I walked out I told them hey I am going home to play video games, they laughed and said 'you suck' and said our goodbyes.
Not sure if I am going to go for another sales job or what right now, I have several opportunities in front of me.



One last thing: If you are in a job that you are unhappy, take a leap of faith and call it quits. There are tons of jobs out there.

heh, I'm in the same boat. I won't be promoted because i do my job too well, but I won't be fired because I can't be replaced. There's this one girl at work who is just completely mean and finally yesterday I was feeling sick and just couldn't take it. I ended up calling her a B!tch and said I was tired of covering her shit. She went to my supervisor who told her that I was right and she needed to chill out. heh!

Well, that depends on your profession and the compromises you're willing to take. After I was laid off a few years back (company downsizing), it took me a while to find a job I was happy with in my graphic design profession because the jobs, quality ones anyway, simply weren't really out there at the time. I agree with you though about getting out of a job you're unhappy with, although i'd find a new job first unless you can afford to be out of work for an unknown amount of time.

I know exactly how you feel I have the exact same problem. Recently I had put in for another position within the company and was one of three that had made it past the first interview. My current manager is also going to be the manager for the new department so when I got my second interview w/ her she more or less told me that I was too "valuable" in my current position to be placed in another department. Looks like I'm as stuck as you are
