Hi i just wanted to know how much modification would it take to fit and evo 3 o2 housing on a 1g with a apexi n1 downpipe? i heard you had to bend the pipe, is this true, and if so how much? and what about an evo3 exhaust manifold? and modifying to that?
thanks before hand

i have a vr4 with the evo housing. i bought a certified downpipe, and the sucker lied when he said it would fit. yah, the flange bolted right up, but when i torqued the nuts, the pipe became one with the transfer case. i mean, it was ON there. you MIGHT be able to bend that thing, but you'd be a way better man than i, gunga din. rre makes a pipe designed to fit on the evo housing, it fits perfect. it is also designed to bolt right up to an apexi exh. afaik, rre is the ONLY place that makes a downpipe specific to the evo housing. since i have a certified catback/random cat, i had to get the flange/pipe redone. but, it is a heck of a lot better when you KNOW going in that it will have to be modified. rre makes sure that you know this, they give you the required flange to make it work; they dont lie to you and tell you it will fit. oh, and it took me 4 months to get my money back.

well an evo 3 sounds like a good o2 housing i just wish it fit on my downpipe, can you recommend another cheap and good o2 housing, becuase if i cant find one i might just have to buy an ss autochrome

You could just get a 2g o2 housing and port it. That would probably be the cheapest way to go, and it should bolt to your APEXI downpipe fine. I have the evo3 02 and the special style downpipe from RRE. It fits perfect, and it bolts up to my high flow cat and apexi catback.

what about an evo 3 exhaust manifold? anybody have one and know if it requires modification to fit?
