A1000 AN Line Sizes

Alright, in process of finishing up my car and getting ready to run all new fuel lines.

Currently my setup is an aeromotive a1000 with the aeromotive FPR. I will be upgrading to 1000cc injectors and gt35 or an hx40.

Would it be alright if I would -8an feed line and a -6an return line? Or should I go with a bigger line? My ultimate goals are around 550 horse.

A rule of thumb that i found is ; 5/16" (-5AN) will support up to 300 horsepower, 3/8" (-6AN) will cover up to 500 HP, and 1/2" (-8AN) is good to 700HP

-8 feed, -6 return would be just fine. Using less than -8AN is kinda pointless, the stock feed is almost the size of -6. People have gone well over 500 on stock lines. The return is a little smaller than -4
