A question about speed limiter.........for 2nd gen eclipse/talon

So check this out! I took out my ECU because for some reason I have a "rare" AWD car that has a speed limiter. I looked at resistors 255 and 256 and both have resistors in them just like they should. However, the color bands on them are Brown-Black-Orange-Gold which means they are 1K resistors and not the 10K that the vfaq says they should be. Can anyone else attest to this? Is the vfaq wrong or do I just have weird resistors in mine? They look completely stock and the soldering job is immaculate.

hah you guys are crazy , i couldn't see myself going over 140+ in my talon. I think i went 110 the fastest and i didnt feel save going that fast ....in a car. I feel safer on my streetbike , i hit 145 no problem. But also explained in thread i never heard of AWD have the limiter :thumb:

142 mph late night on Rt. 81 and yes i did hit a speed limiter... ..my passengers nails digging into my right arm :thumb:

I've done 150+ ONCE in my DSM. I won't do it again until I can figure a way to smooth air flow underneath the car. Thinking of using fiberglass panels to smooth out the bottom of the car.

I wish I had a Ferrari, I wouldn't have to be doing this crap. :p

ok im confused now. Witch resistor do I cut off??? or do I cut off both completely off the board? I have a 1996 TSI FWD i have the ecu out of the car right now i can supply pics if needed. I dont want to have to solider anything tho.
