A/C or Heater problems???? Need Help!

I have a 97 gst and the ac belt is not there. Everytime i turn on the heater it makes a very loud noise coming from my glove box area.....is my heater core bad? Whats wrong here???

Is it speed sensitive. Sounds like a blower motor making noise. Remove the blower motor and see if the wheel is broken or leaves or anything has gotten sucked in.
